Superman

Action Comics #900

Just two days after going on sale, Action Comics #900 is sold out and is going back to press for a new, second printing!


This blockbuster issue features a 51-page lead story written by Paul Cornell that concludes the "Black Ring" story and begins the next act of "Reign of Doomsday" with art by Pete Woods, Jesus Merino, Dan Jurgens, Rags Morales, Ardian Syaf, Jamal Igle, Gary Frank and others.



The issue also includes bonus short stories by the writer/artist teams of Damon Lindelof and Ryan Sook; Paul Dini, R.B. Silva and Rob Lean; David Goyer and Miguel Sepulveda; and Geoff Johns and Gary Frank, along with a pin-up by Brian Stelfreeze.


Plus, Richard Donner and Derek Hoffman write a story in movie-script form, with storyboard-style art by Matt Camp.


Action Comics #900 Second Printing (MAR118256) will feature a new cover image by Rodolfo Migliari. This issue is scheduled to arrive in stores on May 25 with a cover price of $5.99 US.

 Collectors should be on the lookout for the Action Comics #900 Variant Cover Edition A with a cover by Alex Ross, or the Action Comics #900 Variant Cover Edition B with a cover by Adam Hughes

David, apparently when blogger was down this week it erased your comment ("woooow... this is my favourite!!! it s very similar to baroque paintings ...super") So I will answer it here by saying: Thank you so much for your comment! :) And it's funny that you mention the baroque paintings, I grew up admiring most of the artist from that movement, specially Caravaggio. So I'm sure somewhere in the back of my mind I was thinking of those guys while I was painting this :P

ESA CAPA!!!Sos una bestia, Rodolfo.

Una duda: Algo que noté en ustedes, los muchachos que laburan con gouaché(Ross, Massafera,tú por supuesto), es que al dibujo a lápiz primero le hacen una aguada con negro y sobre esa base monocroma recien aplican el color. Mi pregunta es ¿por qué la base con gouaché negro?, no queda igual si se aplica el color directo sobre los lápices?

Juan, Muchas gracias! :) Con respecto a tu pregunta: Los grises en gouache quedan mucho mas prolijos que en lápiz y te permiten conseguir otras tonalidades cuando se mezclan con el color en el mismo papel. No solo es mas rápido, sino que tener los volúmenes básicos resueltos en gris te da una idea de si la imagen esta bien balanceada y compuesta antes de pasar al color. Abrazote!
